Знаменитый хакер Джордж Хоц теперь работает в Google

The famous hacker George Hawz, also known as geohot, GeoHotz and mil, was hired by Google, where he will work on the Project Zero security program.

Hotz is known primarily as the first hacker who in 2007 removed the lock from the very first model of the iPhone, which allowed using a popular smartphone with SIM cards from any operator of the cellular network. Later in 2010 it was George Hots who broke into the Sony PlayStation 3 game console, making it possible to use pirated copies of games on it. Sony has long sued a hacker and even achieved some success in this matter, including the removal of some of the hacker's equipment, as well as a number of injunctions regarding its activities. Since then, almost nothing was heard about George until recently.

According to one of Google's research scientists Chris Evans:

"George Hawtz has joined a large development team that will improve software security, while the team's focus will be on hacking techniques and motivating hackers."

The new bosses also argue that Internet users should not be afraid that someone will infect their computer, steal their secrets or intercept their correspondence with other people. It is over this will work a well-known hacker in his new workplace.

Project Zero aims to identify vulnerabilities in the software and report it to its developers. After the bug that leads to a security breach is identified, the Google team thoroughly examines the application, examines any documented attempts at hacking and exploits, finds solutions to the problem, and then reports this to the development studio.

For George Hawza, this is a great opportunity to make a good living in a legitimate way, and not live on donations from those who use its many jailbroken and hacker applications. How a hacker will manifest himself in a new workplace - time will tell.
