Microsoft showed Windows-computer in the form of telephone charging

Quanta Compute Plug

Taiwan manufacturer Quanta has created a tiny computer based on Windows 10 as a power supply. Earlier this month, at the Computex exhibition in Taipei, Microsoft showed a number of devices that support the Windows 10 operating system. Among them was a Compute Plug computer the size of a conventional smartphone charger. The device has two USB ports and one HDMI.

About the Compute Plug is known little, but, as Microsoft reported, the mini-PC can be plugged into any American-type outlet and connected to the TV. This will turn the TV into an intelligent computer that can be controlled using a digital assistant Cortana via a Bluetooth headset.

Voice Assistant Cortana based on the Bing search engine can also be used on mobile devices running iOS and Android.

It is worth noting that in the portfolio of Quanta already has one mini-computer the size of a flash drive. NH1 uses Windows 8.1, the Intel Bay trail T-CR chip, 3 GB of RAM and a 64 GB drive.

It looks like supercompact PCs are becoming a trend. In January of this year, following the Lucoms Daewoo, Intel released a PC in the form of a flash drive. Unfortunately, none of these devices used Cortana as a control system.

Compute Plug is not the only mini-PC running Windows 10. On the same platform, Foxconn Kangaroo operates with a built-in battery for 6 hours of battery life and a fingerprint scanner. The device is also designed to turn TV panels into a PC.

Supporters of mini-computers believe that these devices can gain wide popularity in developing countries, since they consume less energy, offer sufficient computing power, and also the possibility of voice control.
