The processors, created on the basis of the Zen architecture, over which AMD engineers worked so long, contain 8 cores and operate at frequencies from 3 to 4 GHz. Benchmark Cinebench R15, in which the overclocked processor was tested, showed a score of 2449 points. The processor was overclocked to 5.2 GHz (its usual frequency is in the range of 3.6-4 GHz). Cooling it provided liquid nitrogen, and the voltage was raised to 1.875 V. The previous record belonged to the processor Intel Core i7 5960X, which scored 2445 points in the overclock to 6.044 GHz. Under normal conditions, Ryzen 7 1800X by 9% exceeds the Intel Core i7 6900K in a multi-core and is equal to it in a single-core mode. The cost of 1800X is 499 dollars, while the price of Core i7 6900K exceeds $ 1000.
In addition to the flagship, Ryzen 7 also includes two more processor models. It's about Ryzen 7 1700 - 3.0-3.7 GHz (65 W) at $ 329, and Ryzen 7 1700X - 3.4-3.8 GHz (95 W), which the manufacturer estimated at 399 dollars. The Ryzen 1700X almost 40% of the performance of the Core i7 6800K and 4% of the Core i7-6900K. The younger model was designed to compete with the Core i7 7700K, and it exceeds it by 46%.
