Supercomputer from the OPK will be able to manage any combat robots

The supercomputer, designed to control the army of robots, was created by specialists of the Vega concern, which is part of the United Instrument-Making Corporation. Her representative reported on the development of the agency RIA Novosti. Now in Russia, a lot of robotics are being developed and developed, equipped with a variety of control systems, so somehow they need to be combined in order to be able to centrally manage all types of devices at once.

"Development of our concern" Vega "allows unifying the management of robotic complexes with the help of specially created communication protocols. Figuratively speaking, the unified operator station is able to "talk" in the language of various robotic complexes. And this "dialogue" can be conducted with a large number of different machines at the same time, regardless of what companies they are produced and what software is used to manage them, "the official spokesman for the defense industry explained.

The representative of the OPK said that the "brain" of the new centralized control system is a supercomputer with liquid silicone cooling. The performance of the novelty is about 8 teraflops.

Dimensions of the development are quite impressive, so while the supercomputer moves on the modified base of the mobile complex group control robotics "Vologda", which is based on the chassis "KAMAZ" high cross-country - in this form it is tested. Today, a few hours ago, in Gelendzhik, the exhibition "Gidroaviasalon-2016" began, it is planned to present the development to visitors.
