Google has just revealed the secrets of the Project Tungsten project. The mysterious "entertainment device" has become a compact Android computer called the Nexus Q. Monoblock is made in the form of a ball and is designed to serve as a home entertainment system that interacts with any smartphone or tablet computer running the Android operating system.
Nexus Q is not limited to your personal mobile devices. For example, friends who have accidentally visited you can freely send any media files from their Android device to a Nexus Q monoblock, and vice versa. Nexus Q has a permanent connection to the "cloud", which allows it to work directly with the Google Play Store and watch videos from YouTube online.
The device provides a high-quality 25-watt audio amplifier, an OMAP 4460 processor (used in the Galaxy Nexus), support for 1080p video playback, a dual-band Wi-Fi module, an Ethernet interface, and a micro USB port.
Nexus Q will go on sale in July (Google Play) at a price of 299 dollars. Pre-orders have already begun.
