This month, VIA has expanded its range of miniature computers with the new VIA ARTiGo A1250 model . This year we have already seen one of the representatives of the ARTiGo line, the A1200 model was introduced in the spring. But, unlike its predecessor, the A1250 boasts a quad-core processor, not a dual-core processor.
In general, the new product is an excellent solution for those who need a simple computer for everyday work. Nevertheless, the presence of the HDMI port allows you to use the A1250, as a set-top box for the TV, which turns HDTV into a powerful entertainment center. Of the characteristics, one should note the presence of a quad-core processor with a frequency of 1 GHz, a compartment for a 2.5-inch solid-state drive, up to 8 gigabytes of RAM, a pair of USB 2.0 ports, headphone and microphone jacks, a VGA port and Gigabit Ethernet. The device supports Windows XP, 7, Embedded 7, and XP Embedded 2009 operating systems, as well as Linux.
At the moment, the manufacturer has not reported when ARTiGo A1250 goes on sale, and how much it will cost. But, this information should appear soon.
