This October, at a special event, Apple showed an updated iMac monoblock with improved specifications, a Fusion drive and a frame just 5 mm thick. All is well, but Apple has a small production problem.
According to information published by the French resource MacBidouille, the output of the iMac is postponed until 2013. It's all about the seamless connections of the case, the production of which is a complex process. Additional difficulty is added to the manufacture of displays, especially for the 27-inch model.
Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed his concern about the availability of the necessary stocks of the iMac, speaking with a report on the company's financial results:
"We will face a significant shortage."
It is worth noting that in the Apple Store 21.5-and 27-inch iMac models are still expected in November-December of this year.
