On the eve of the school season, Toshiba introduced a number of new computer devices. The Japanese company offered three laptops and three tablets. Let's start with the most interesting new products, which have something to brag to users.
The list opens with a Satellite Radius laptop with a multi-position screen as Yoga. The device is equipped with an Intel fourth-generation processor, 8 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 1 terabyte. In addition, there is a 15.6-inch screen, Harman / Kardon sound and an HDMI port with 4K format support.
Perhaps the main feature of the Satellite Radius is a 360-degree swivel mechanism with reliable locking, which allows you to change the position of the screen relative to the user. The laptop will be offered at a price of $ 926.
A feature of the other two laptops - Satellite Click 2 and Click 2 Pro - is a removable display that can also be used as a tablet. Both devices are equipped with 13-inch IPS-screens and are running the operating system Windows 8.1.
Click 2 is a medium-level model based on a 4-core Intel Pentium processor, offering a 500 GB hard drive and Skull Candy sound. The cost of the tablet is 587 dollars.
In the Click 2 Pro model, the disconnect mechanism is simpler than the Click 2 with a hinged lock - just press your finger to lock the screen to unlock the screen. The laptop has an aluminum casing, a fourth-generation Intel processor, a 13.3-inch Full HD display, support for Miracast technology for transferring images from the screen to a TV and standard connectors such as microSD, Micro HDMI, Micro USB 2.0.
Click 2 Pro, like Click 2, will go on sale in June at a cost of $ 1,029.
As for the tablets, Toshiba introduced two models under the Encore brand and one model called Excite Go.
Encore 2 comes in 8- and 10-inch versions, which are thinner and lighter models of the previous generation. Both tablets are equipped with displays with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels, 4-core Intel Atom processors and batteries, which are enough for 10 hours of use. There is also a microHDMI connector for connecting the tablet to the TV.
Encore 2 tablets are offered with 32 or 64 GB memory, not counting the support for SDXC cards up to 128 GB. The price for a 10-inch Encore 2 starts at $ 269, on an 8-inch - from $ 200. Both will go on sale in July.
Closes a number of new products from Toshiba 7-inch Android-tablet Excite Go, which attracts more by price than characteristics. Perhaps this is the most Android-optimized device from Toshiba. The tablet is controlled by the Android KitKat 4.4 operating system, uses an Intel Atom processor and a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels.
TechCrunch informs that on one charge Excite Go works 8 hours and offers the possibility to increase 16 GB of internal memory up to 128 GB with the help of SDXC-cards. The tablet will be available in July at a price of $ 109.
