But progress does not stand still, and scientists are exploring the possibility of creating entirely new media.

"A four-particle memory cluster connected to a central sphere can take two positions, like a regular information bit. A cluster of 12 particles can already take 8 million unique positions. During the research, we found out that a tablespoon containing a solution with clusters of 12 particles, is capable of storing a terabyte of data. Agree, this is much smaller than a portable hard drive. "
Scientists at the moment are trying to solve the issue with the materials that will be used in the media of the new generation. As there arises an acute question of the high cost of future technology. The second most important question is to teach such carriers to read and write information into particle clusters.
