Russia and India will join their efforts in order to create the most powerful computer in the world, which should surpass in all respects the Chinese Tiahne-2, currently heading the world rating of 500 of the most powerful supercomputers.

Boris Shabanov from the Russian Academy of Sciences invited a group of leaders from India's Institute of Science and representatives of Indian authorities to Russia to discuss with them the possibility of building a computer center in Bangalore, in which the Russian-Indian supercomputer will be located. The project is in the initial stage of development, but it is already known that a Russian company RSC Group is involved in it, which is engaged in the design and development of supercomputers.

"India has all the necessary resources for building supercomputers. Also Indian specialists are very strong in software development. The whole project was conceived to catch up and overtake the Chinese supercomputer, which so far is confidently occupying the top of the world rating. Tiahne-2 was introduced to the world last year by the National University of Defense Technologies and, thanks to its capacity of 33.86 quadrillion floating point operations per second, this supercomputer immediately rose to the top of the honorable pedestal. He easily left behind the American computer Titan, and about Russia's 37th place with the computer "Lomonosov" in this list, you can not say. India with its supercomputer Param Yuva-II in the top 500 and did it was only on the 83rd place.
