Miniaturization of computers does not stand still. This confirms the company Intel, which introduced a personal computer that can fit in the case of a flash drive.

This was reported by Kirk Scaugen, senior vice president and general manager of Intel's PC Client Group, during a conference in Santa Clara, California. According to Intel, the device can be connected to a monitor or a TV, thereby creating a full-fledged computer from a conventional screen.

The mini-computer was shown off the stage, however, unfortunately, the real work of the device was not demonstrated. As Kirk said, the gadget will be positioned as an extension of the line of PCs and notebooks with Core processors, but in a miniature case.

The computing capability of the device was not announced, but Intel compares the performance of mini-PCs with Android-devices on ARM-processors.

As the resource pcworld, such devices, as a rule, have a minimum of built-in memory. Their main purpose is to work with files located in cloud storage.

The timing of the mini-computer delivery to the market has not yet been reported.
