The car repair shop from Gdansk still uses Commodore 64

Sometimes, in order to work well and productively, it is not necessary to spend a lot of money on modern computers and office equipment. Indeed, why buy a steep and stuffed computer stuffed with teraflops, if you are going to, for example, lead a customer base or accounting on it? So the guys from the small car shop located in the Polish city of Gdansk, think the same way. Therefore, they continue to use the good old Commodore 64 for everyday tasks. The release of such computers began 34 years ago.

The Starikan is equipped with a powerful processor for those times with a frequency of 1 MHz. RAM in the basic configuration was already 64 kilobytes. Yes, the guys in this car service are also harsh, apparently. That's really who is not exactly chasing the fashionable technological solutions and is not worried about the fact that he began to slow down the smartphone!

An unusual find was reported at the official page Commodore in Facebook company representatives:

"This C64C is used in a small car workshop for 25 years and, despite the fact that it survived the flood, the computer is still working!"

Personal computer computers were produced from 1982 to 1994, cost $ 600 and were very popular - over 12 years, more than 15 million of these legendary computers were sold. One of the reasons for the success was the aggressive policy of the company Commodore, which promoted its products not only through the network of official dealers, but also offered its personal computers to retail chains, which to a large extent spurred sales and strengthened the Commodore's position in the market. Perhaps in one of these supermarkets the hero of this publication was bought.
