NVIDIA introduced Jetson TX2 - a tiny next-generation supercomputer

The company NVIDIA, famous for its graphics cards, introduced the next generation of its platform Jetson. We remind you that this platform was designed to help manufacturers integrate artificial intelligence into their devices. According to the manufacturer, Jetson TX2 is twice as productive as its predecessor, TX1, and also twice as gluttonous in terms of energy consumption.

Jetson TX2 is based on the Pascal GPU, and is also equipped with two 64-bit quad-core ARM-processors. The board has 8 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of fast memory for data storage. The platform, among other things, built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi, gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth. The main task of Jetson TX2 is active promotion of neural networks in production and everyday life, because you can build a platform in almost anything: from factory robots to personal gadgets.

In addition to TX2, NVIDIA also announced JetPack 3.0, an updated version of its SDK, for managing the platforms of the Jetson family. The SDK contains tools for managing artificial intelligence, as well as all the necessary drivers for connecting all kinds of external devices, for example, cameras for image recognition. SDK can be purchased already on March 14 at a price of $ 599, and the Jetson TX2 platform will go on sale in the second quarter of this year for $ 399.
