AMD company continues to please fans of its products with new and new announcements. The new processor of the company was named Threadripper and contains 16 cores capable of processing 32 data streams. This product will have to compete with Intel solutions in the market segment of high-performance desktop computers. Rumors of a 16-core AMD processor have been in the air for a long time, but only now everything has become officially known.
While AMD did not publish the technical specifications of its new processor. But we can assume that Threadripper, according to all the same rumors, will converge on the ring with the future 12-core Intel Core i9 processor. A new multithreaded processor will surely appeal to those users who are engaged in editing and processing video, as well as creating three-dimensional graphics. Given that AMD's price policy has recently been aimed at making the most profitable offer to users, it can be assumed that the cost of Threadripper will be more attractive than that of Core i9 and, possibly, even lower than the 10-core i7-6950X more than 1700 dollars).
The Zen architecture processor is manufactured using a 14-nanometer process. The Ryzen Threadripper will be on sale in the summer of this year.
