Taiwanese company Gigabyte is well known all over the world. Since 1986, it has produced motherboards, video cards, network and server equipment, optical drives, monitors, power supplies and other components. Recently, among the manufacturers of computer hardware, there has been a rather curious trend - miniaturization of components. In this race involved several major companies, including Gigabyte. And the latter managed to establish a kind of record, releasing the world's most compact video card GTX 1080.
Last year, engineers Gigabyte managed to fit the GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card for the form factor of mini-ITX motherboards. But they did not stop there. The length of the new Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Mini ITX 8G is only 16.9 centimeters. And this despite the fact that the average length of cards of the class GTX 1080 is about 26.7 centimeters. The new form factor of the video card will let out much more compact system blocks with enough powerful stuffing to run modern video games on high graphics settings.
The compact graphics card uses a 90-millimeter cooler, along with a radiator and three copper tubes for heat dissipation. The cooler automatically turns on when the video card is under heavy load and turns off in idle state. The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Mini ITX card is easily overclocked at will, so that fans of overclocking will be happy. While the manufacturer does not name the cost of the new video card and the exact date of its receipt at retail.
